The west coast of the United States is visible in this image, including most of California.
Extending at the bottom is the Baja Peninsula along with San Diego and Los Angeles.
At the left most side of the picture is San Francisco. Much of the Western US is still visible in this picture, including Nevada and Arizona.
Why is there such a large, dark spot in between San Francisco and Los Angeles, while everything else is so lit up?
Are those storm clouds highlighted, or are those hiding something underneath them?
